THE REAL REASON MANY ARTISTS STAY INVISIBLE ONLINE
You might recognize this feeling.
You spend hours creating something meaningful, you share it on Instagram… and it seems to disappear into the void. 200 views at best.
Maybe other artists leave kind comments.
Maybe a few people say “beautiful work.”
But the collectors, buyers, or people who would truly connect with your art and pay for it, never seem to find you.
After a while it can feel like the algorithm is simply working against you.
But most of the time, the problem isn’t the algorithm, and it’s not your art either.
It’s that Instagram hasn’t yet learned who your art is meant for.
And until that becomes clear, it keeps showing your work to the wrong people.
During this workshop we’ll unpack why this happens, and how you can guide the algorithm (and your audience) toward the right direction.
If any of these feel familiar, you’re not alone.
And more importantly, these are problems that can actually be understood and improved.
First, we’ll talk about something many artists experience but rarely understand:
why Instagram keeps showing your art to the wrong people.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re posting into a void, or attracting only other artists instead of collectors, there’s usually a reason for that (and believe me, we can turn this around).
Then we’ll look at how Instagram learns what your art is about and why sometimes it gets completely confused about it.
And finally, we’ll explore the question that quietly changes everything:
who is your art actually for?
Because once that becomes clear, a lot of things start shifting at the same time: your content, your messaging, and the kind of people who start noticing your work.
There will also be time at the end to ask questions if something in your own situation feels unclear.
🎨 you love making art but feel slightly allergic to “marketing tactics” and don't want to look salesy
😒 you post your art on Instagram and sometimes wonder if the algorithm has personally decided to ignore you
👩🎨 you get nice comments from other artists, but the people who would actually buy your work rarely appear
😵💫 you know you should be talking about your art differently… but you’re not quite sure how
💡 you suspect the problem isn’t your art, but something about how it’s being presented
💚 you want Instagram to make a bit more sense instead of feeling like a mysterious machine
